UGC Creator Registration Guidelines

 

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Guidelines establish the conditions for the use of fan art and user-generated content (UGC) created by individual creators who use the Nekowemon characters (hereinafter referred to as the “Characters”) for non-commercial purposes.

 


 

Article 2 (Definitions)

1. “Fan Art / UGC” refers to images, videos, short animations, memes, translations, subtitles, audio works, stories, and other creative content created using the Characters as a subject.

2. “Non-commercial use” refers to use that is not intended to generate profit or continuous income.

3. “Commercial use” refers to use intended to generate revenue, including product sales, advertising, in-app purchases, sponsorships, platform revenue sharing, or other forms of monetization.

4. “Platform revenue” refers to revenue generated through official advertising programs provided by platforms such as YouTube or TikTok.

5. “AI-generated content” refers to images, videos, text, or other expressive works created using generative AI or other automated generation technologies.

6. “Official” refers to iwemon store.

 


 

Article 3 (UGC Activities and Creator Registration)

1. In principle, individuals who create or publish fan art or UGC using the Characters are required to complete UGC Creator Registration as defined by the Official (registration of an email address and social media account).

2. The Official does not recommend engaging in activities without completing UGC Creator Registration.

3. Notifications, rule updates, support, and protection provided under these Guidelines are intended for creators who have completed UGC Creator Registration.

 


 

Article 4 (Permission for Non-Commercial Use)

1. The Characters may be freely used to create and publish fan art / UGC within the scope of non-commercial use.

2. The following activities are permitted as non-commercial use:

(1) Posting on social media
(2) Translation, subtitles, and localization
(3) Creation of short animations and memes
(4) Free games (without advertising or in-app purchases)
(5) Publication and sharing on websites
(6) Sharing and remixing within the community

 


 

Article 5 (Monetization)

1. Only individual creators who have completed UGC Creator Registration may monetize content through official platform advertising programs provided by platforms such as YouTube or TikTok.

2. Monetization under these Guidelines is strictly limited to advertising revenue as described above. Other monetization methods are not permitted.

3. Works that include AI-generated content are not eligible for advertising monetization under this Article, regardless of how the work was produced.

4. Detailed conditions, thresholds, and operational rules regarding monetization will be separately defined within the Official Discord community.

 


 

Article 6 (Prohibited Activities)

The following uses are prohibited:

1. R18 content, excessive violence, discrimination, or harassment

2. Use for political, ideological, or religious activities

3. Use that damages the brand value of the Characters

4. Minting, selling, or distributing the Characters as NFTs

5. Implementation of 3D avatars, UGC items, or games using platforms such as Roblox, VRChat, or Unity

6. Creation of 3D model data (including AI-generated models) and distribution to third parties

7. Product sales, advertising, business activities, or revenue generation conducted as a business operator

8. Use that infringes the rights of others

9. Conducting revenue-generating activities without authorization

10. Representing or claiming that AI-generated works were created, supervised, or endorsed by the Official

11. Generating, reconstructing, modifying, or producing similar versions of the Characters primarily using generative AI or automated generation technologies (whether in 2D or 3D)

 


 

Article 7 (Redistribution, Modification, and Sharing)

1. Redistribution, translation, subtitles, and modification within the fandom community are generally permitted.

2. However, distribution that grants sublicensing rights to third parties is not permitted (e.g., asset distribution, kits, templates, or 3D conversions).

 


 

Article 8 (Transition to Commercial Use)

1. If monetization or continuous activities transition into commercial use, a separate commercial license is required.

2. Standards, thresholds, and procedures for commercial transition will be announced on Discord.

3. Participation in the community will not be restricted after transitioning to commercial use.

 


 

Article 9 (Official Use)

1. Published fan art / UGC may be introduced, shared, or quoted by the Official.

2. If the Official adopts, introduces, or shares UGC officially, the creator will be notified in advance.

3. The Official respects the moral rights of creators (such as attribution).

 


 

Article 10 (Ownership of Rights)

1. All copyrights and intellectual property rights related to the Characters belong to the Official.

2. UGC is respected as a derivative work; however, the copyright of the original work is not transferred.

 


 

Article 11 (Violations and Removal Requests)

1. The Official may request the suspension, removal, or prohibition of use of content that violates these Guidelines.

2. In the event of serious violations, the Official may take legal action against the user.

 


 

Article 12 (Email Address and Communication)

1. When registering as a UGC Creator or joining the Discord community, creators are required to register an email address and social media account.

2. The Official will use registered email addresses only for the following purposes:

(1) Communication and notifications
(2) Discord invitations
(3) Operational announcements
(4) Guidance regarding transition to commercial use
(5) Campaign and event announcements

3. Email addresses will not be provided to third parties without permission.

 


 

Article 13 (Miscellaneous)

1. These Guidelines may be changed without prior notice.

2. If there are differences between these Guidelines and the commercial license agreement, the commercial license agreement shall prevail.
