Guides and Terms Related to the Creator Program

Creator Program Basics

1. About the Creator Program

The Nekowemon Creator Program is a program for individual creators who create a wide range of creative content using Nekowemon characters and the Nekowemon universe, including illustrations, comics, stories, videos, animations, games, and music.

Through the Creator Program, creators can not only create and publish their works, but also earn advertising revenue under certain conditions, interact with other creators in the Creator Hub, and further develop their works and creative worlds.

The Creator Program is free to join.

Creative activities under the Creator Program must comply with this guide as well as the rules established by Nekowemon Official, including the “Fan Art/UGC Terms of Use.”

2. UGC Registered Creators

By completing UGC Creator Registration, you can participate in the Creator Program as a UGC Registered Creator.

UGC Registered Creators may create and publish works using Nekowemon as part of their personal, non-commercial creative activities.

They may also participate in advertising revenue and content reward programs offered by platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, within the revenue thresholds established by Nekowemon.

Unless otherwise permitted, monetization through methods other than advertising revenue and content rewards is not allowed.

3. Advertising Revenue for UGC Registered Creators

UGC Registered Creators may participate in advertising revenue and content reward programs offered by platforms where they publish their works, such as YouTube, TikTok, and X.

If you use advertising revenue or content reward programs, please register with Nekowemon Official the social media accounts, video channels, and other accounts you use for monetization.

Revenue thresholds are established for advertising revenue and content rewards according to your country or region of residence, defining the level of revenue permitted as part of non-commercial creative activities.

These revenue thresholds are not assessed based solely on revenue earned in a single month. Instead, they are assessed based on revenue over a certain period of time.

Therefore, temporarily exceeding a revenue threshold does not immediately constitute a violation of the Creator Program rules.

If your advertising revenue or content rewards consistently exceed the applicable revenue threshold, or if your activities otherwise go beyond the scope of monetization permitted for UGC Registered Creators, please join the Creator Hub.

For details on revenue thresholds and monetization rules, please refer to the “Monetization & License Guide.”

Checking Your Revenue

Creators are responsible for monitoring their own advertising revenue and ensuring that their activities remain within the revenue thresholds established by Nekowemon.

Nekowemon Official does not require creators to submit monthly revenue reports or similar documents.

However, when necessary for the operation of the Creator Program, Nekowemon Official may ask to review your revenue information, including for the purpose of confirming compliance with the applicable revenue thresholds.

If requested, please submit screenshots showing your revenue information from the platforms you use, such as YouTube or TikTok.

4. Registering Accounts Used for Monetization

If you monetize works using Nekowemon through the Creator Program, please register with Nekowemon Official the social media accounts, video channels, stores, creator pages, and other accounts or pages used for monetization.

UGC Registered Creators who use advertising revenue or content reward programs must also monetize through their registered accounts or channels.

If you have a Creator License, please register the accounts, channels, stores, creator pages, and other accounts or pages used for monetization, including advertising revenue, content rewards, memberships, fan support, commissions, and digital content sales.

If your works or sales pages are linked to a registered account or store, you do not need to register the URL of each individual work or sales page.

If the URL of a sales page or similar page cannot be determined until after sales begin, you may register it after the page has been published.

If you add or change any accounts or other pages used for monetization, please also add or update the corresponding registration information.

You may not monetize under the Creator Program through accounts, channels, stores, or other pages that have not been registered.

Creative Activities for UGC Registered Creators

1. Non-commercial Doujinshi and Fan-made Merchandise

UGC Registered Creators may create and distribute doujinshi and fan-made merchandise for non-commercial purposes.

The distribution price must be limited to an amount that covers production costs, such as printing and material costs.

Ongoing production and sales for the purpose of making a profit are not permitted.

For detailed rules on creating and distributing doujinshi and fan-made merchandise, please refer to the “Monetization & License Guide” and other rules provided by Nekowemon.

2. Free Games

UGC Registered Creators may create and publish free 2D games using Nekowemon as part of their personal, non-commercial creative activities.

2D games must be published in a format that can be played for free in a web browser.

Advertising, in-game monetization, and paid sales are not permitted.

The game itself may not be distributed as a download.

You may freely create stories, worlds, visual presentation, animations, and other elements within the game, provided that they comply with this guide and other conditions established by Nekowemon.

Expand Your Creative Activities through the Creator Hub

1. Joining the Creator Hub

UGC Registered Creators can join the “Nekowemon Creator Hub,” a Discord community exclusively for Nekowemon creators, by completing the required registration.

To join the Creator Hub, you must register information such as your email address, Discord ID, and creative content.

The Creator Hub is free to join.

For detailed instructions on how to join the Creator Hub, please refer to the “Creator Hub User Guide.”

2. Advertising Revenue for Creator Hub Members

UGC Registered Creators who join the Creator Hub are subject to higher revenue thresholds than regular UGC Registered Creators.

If your advertising revenue or content rewards consistently exceed the applicable revenue threshold, or if your activities otherwise go beyond the scope of monetization permitted for Creator Hub members, please contact Nekowemon Official to discuss how to proceed with your activities.

For details on revenue thresholds and monetization rules, please refer to the “Monetization & License Guide.”

3. Activities in the Creator Hub

In the Creator Hub, you can participate in a wide range of creative activities, including introducing and sharing creative content and Lore, interacting with other creators, derivative works, collaborations, and events.

In the Creator Hub, please respect other creators and engage in constructive communication about creative content and ideas.

Harassment, discrimination, defamation, spam, unauthorized use of other creators’ creative content, and other conduct that disrupts the operation of the community are prohibited.

When using the Creator Hub, you must comply with this guide as well as the “Creator Hub Terms of Use,” the “Creator Hub User Guide,” the community rules posted in the Creator Hub, and Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and other applicable rules.

For detailed rules on introducing and sharing creative content, Creator World, Lore, derivative works, collaborations, recognition programs, and other activities in the Creator Hub, please refer to the “Creator Hub User Guide.”

Monetize with a Creator License

1. Creator License

If you want to monetize your creative activities beyond the scope permitted under the Creator Program, you must have a Creator License.

The Creator License allows individual creators to monetize their creative activities using Nekowemon in a wider range of ways.

The Creator License is available in two plans: the Basic Plan and the Pro Plan.

With a Creator License, the revenue thresholds that apply to UGC Registered Creators no longer apply, and you may earn unlimited advertising revenue and content rewards.

The contract term is one year and is automatically renewed in accordance with the applicable terms.

Whether you have the Basic Plan or the Pro Plan, you may also undertake Client Work using Nekowemon for companies or businesses upon receiving prior permission from Nekowemon Official. For details on Client Work, please refer to “5. Client Work.”

For the monetization methods available under each plan and detailed conditions, please refer to this guide and the terms and conditions applicable to the Creator License.

2. Monetization Available with the Basic Plan

With the Basic Plan, you can monetize your creative activities through the following methods:

* Advertising revenue and content rewards
* Fan support features on YouTube, such as donations, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and Super Thanks
* Ongoing fan support through YouTube memberships, subscriptions, and similar features

For advertising revenue and content rewards, you may use platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and X, with no restrictions on the platform used.

There is no limit on the amount of revenue you may earn from advertising revenue or the monetization methods permitted under this section.

You may not monetize through methods that are not permitted under the Basic Plan, such as donations, memberships, subscriptions, or other forms of fan support on platforms other than YouTube, commissions, or digital content sales.

For information on registering accounts, channels, stores, creator pages, and other accounts or pages used for monetization, please refer to “Registering Accounts Used for Monetization.”

3. Monetization Available with the Pro Plan

In addition to all monetization methods permitted under the Basic Plan, the Pro Plan allows you to monetize your creative activities through a wider range of methods without being limited to a specific platform.

With the Pro Plan, you can monetize through the following methods:

* Fan support such as donations, tips, and gifting
* Ongoing fan support such as memberships and subscriptions
* Commissions
* Digital content sales
* Sales and distribution of paid downloadable 2D games for PC

For fan support such as donations, memberships, and subscriptions, you may use various platforms approved by Nekowemon Official, not limited to YouTube.

Commissions and digital content sales are permitted to the extent that they constitute monetization of creative activities by an individual creator.

2D games for PC may be sold and distributed as paid downloads. However, they may not be distributed or made available as applications for smartphones, tablets, or similar devices.

For information on registering accounts, channels, stores, creator pages, and other accounts or pages used for monetization, please refer to “Registering Accounts Used for Monetization.”

For specific methods of use and applicable conditions, please refer to this guide and any additional conditions separately established by Nekowemon Official.

4. Commercial Sales of Doujinshi and Fan-made Merchandise

Even if you have a Creator License, you may not create or sell physical doujinshi or fan-made merchandise using Nekowemon for commercial purposes.

If you wish to create and sell physical products for commercial purposes, you must use the Character License Service for businesses.

If you have the Pro Plan, you may sell digital doujinshi, illustration collections, and similar digital content within the scope specified in “7. Digital Content Sales.”

5. Client Work

Creators with either the Basic Plan or the Pro Plan may undertake Client Work commissioned by companies, sponsors, clients, or other businesses, including production, PR, advertising, and promotional collaborations using Nekowemon.

Before undertaking Client Work, please contact Nekowemon Official and obtain permission before the project begins.

Nekowemon Official will confirm that the company or business commissioning the work has obtained the Character License or other license agreement or permission required for the project.

Having a Creator License does not, by itself, grant the commissioning company or business the right to use Nekowemon.

If the commissioning company or business has not obtained the required license agreement or permission, you may not begin the Client Work until the necessary procedures have been completed.

If you are unsure whether a request should be treated as Client Work, please contact Nekowemon Official for confirmation when you receive the request.

6. Commissions

With the Pro Plan, you may accept requests from individuals to create illustrations and other works using Nekowemon and receive payment for your work.

Commissions are intended to monetize your own creative activities as a creator.

Even if the person making the request is a sole proprietor or a representative of a company, the request does not need to be treated as Client Work solely because the person is engaged in business, as long as the request is for personal enjoyment.

If a client makes a request without disclosing that it is for business purposes, this alone will not be considered a violation by the creator.

If you know that a request is for business activities, such as advertising, PR, or sales promotion for a company’s products or services, it must be treated as Client Work rather than a regular commission. Please follow the requirements in “5. Client Work.”

If you accept commissions through a platform, please register the account or creator page you use with Nekowemon Official.

7. Digital Content Sales

With the Pro Plan, you may sell digital content featuring Nekowemon that you have created to individual users.

Digital content that may be sold includes digital comics, illustration collections, novels, music, audio content, videos, and similar works.

You may also sell and distribute paid downloadable 2D games for PC.

Games may not be distributed or made available as applications for smartphones, tablets, or similar devices.

You may not sell or provide Nekowemon characters as materials, templates, assets, or similar resources that allow third parties to reuse them in other works or for other purposes.

The sale of physical products or merchandise is not included in digital content sales.

If you sell digital content through a platform or store, please register the account or store you use with Nekowemon Official.

For specific methods of use and applicable conditions, please refer to this guide and any additional conditions separately established by Nekowemon Official.

8. Game Registration and Review

With the Pro Plan, you may sell and distribute paid downloadable 2D games for PC.

With either the Basic Plan or the Pro Plan, you may create and publish 3D games, such as Roblox Experiences, provided that they are not monetized.

Before selling, distributing, or publishing any of these games, you must register the game content with Nekowemon Official.

As part of the content registration process, the Nekowemon characters used in the game must be reviewed by Nekowemon Official.

The review covers the design and depiction of Nekowemon characters used in the game. The game itself, including its content, systems, and story, is not subject to review.

If Nekowemon Official requests changes to the design or depiction of any characters during the review process, please make the required changes and obtain confirmation from Nekowemon Official before selling, distributing, or publishing the game.

If you sell a paid 2D game, you must register the game content itself in addition to registering the store or other platform used for sales.

If your Creator License agreement ends, you must stop any new sales, paid distribution, and monetization of paid 2D games for PC. Users who lawfully purchased the game during the term of the agreement may continue to use the game after the agreement ends.

If your Creator License agreement ends, you must stop publishing or remove 3D games such as Roblox Experiences.

Creator Program Rules

UGC Registered Creators and Creator License holders may not use paid advertising placements, such as Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, or YouTube Ads, to promote their own works using Nekowemon.

You may introduce and share your works through regular posts on your own social media accounts, video channels, and similar platforms.

If you wish to promote Nekowemon through paid advertising, you must obtain the Basic License under the Character License Service for businesses as well as the Advertising Promotion License, which is an Extended License.

2. Crowdfunding

Crowdfunding using Nekowemon is not permitted under the Creator Program.

Crowdfunding is not permitted even if you have a Creator License.

If you wish to conduct crowdfunding using Nekowemon, you must use the Character License Service for businesses and obtain the license agreement or permission required for your specific project.

3. Basic Rules for Creating Works

Works using Nekowemon must be created through your own creative efforts.

You may not create or publish works that infringe the rights of third parties, including copyrights, trademark rights, and portrait rights.

You may also not impersonate Nekowemon or another creator, or use another creator’s work without permission.

Use of AI Technology

You may not use generative AI or similar technology to generate Nekowemon characters themselves, or create works in which AI-generated content constitutes the primary creative element.

AI technology may be used to assist your own creative work, such as for backgrounds, effects, color correction, or composition assistance. Even in such cases, the core creative elements of the work must be created by you.

You may not use Nekowemon characters or works for AI training, including training or fine-tuning AI models or creating or providing datasets for AI training.

Even when AI technology is used only as an assistive tool, you are responsible for reviewing the completed work.

About #Nekowemon

When publishing works using Nekowemon on social media or similar platforms, please include the common hashtag “#Nekowemon.”

Using #Nekowemon makes works featuring Nekowemon easier to find and helps creators and fans discover a wide variety of creative works.

About © Nekowemon

As a general rule, works created under the Creator Program should not use the “© Nekowemon” notice.

“© Nekowemon” is a notice used by Nekowemon Official or when its use has been authorized by Nekowemon Official.

If a creator with a Creator License wishes to use the “© Nekowemon” notice on a work such as a paid game, please consult Nekowemon Official in advance. Nekowemon Official may authorize its use on an individual basis after reviewing the work and how the notice will be displayed.

4. Prohibited Uses

The following uses are prohibited:

* Uses that infringe the rights of third parties, including copyrights, trademark rights, and portrait rights
* Unauthorized use of another creator’s work
* Impersonating another creator
* Representations that may falsely suggest that a work is created or operated by Nekowemon Official
* Undertaking Client Work without permission from Nekowemon Official
* Unauthorized commercialization
* Promotion through paid advertising
* Crowdfunding
* NFTs, Web3, and similar uses
* Unauthorized 3D UGC or avatar UGC
* Uses of AI that are not permitted by Nekowemon Official, including works in which AI-generated content constitutes the primary creative element
* Uses that violate applicable laws or the terms of the platform being used
* Any other uses that Nekowemon Official determines to be inconsistent with the purpose of the Creator Program

5. Violations of the Rules

If you violate this guide or other rules established by Nekowemon, Nekowemon Official may take necessary measures depending on the nature and circumstances of the violation, such as requesting that you modify or remove a work, requesting changes to how you conduct your activities, restricting your use of the Creator Hub, or suspending your participation in the Creator Program.

For minor violations, Nekowemon Official will generally review the circumstances and, where necessary, provide guidance on making corrections or changing how the work is used.

For serious, intentional, or repeated violations, Nekowemon Official may take measures such as suspending your participation in the Creator Program.
