Nekowemon Avatar Ecosystem
Concept
Nekowemon Avatar Ecosystem — Creating a system where players can use a single avatar to play across games developed by multiple developers.
We call the Roblox × Nekowemon ecosystem vision the “Nekowemon Avatar Ecosystem.”
In the Nekowemon Avatar Ecosystem, players can use a Shared Avatar to play across multiple games created by different developers.
The avatar’s appearance automatically changes to match the world setting of each game.
For example, in a ninja game, the avatar may appear as a ninja character, while in a pirate game, it may appear as a pirate character.
Player Experience
The Nekowemon Avatar Ecosystem can also be enjoyed using Roblox’s standard avatars.
However, in order to experience the world as intended, players are expected to use the Base Avatar, Neco01.
Furthermore, in order to fully enjoy an experience that matches the world setting (genre) of a game, it is important to use the avatar designed for that game.
If a player owns the corresponding avatar, they will transform into that avatar while playing.
On the other hand, if they do not own the corresponding avatar, they will continue to play using the Base Avatar (Neco01).
Why Use a Shared Avatar?
The reason for adopting a Shared Avatar is to connect players across multiple games as the same character.
By continuing to use the same avatar, players can move between games created by different developers while continuing to play as the same character (the Shared Avatar).
If each developer were to provide a separate avatar, Roblox would treat them as different avatars in each game, even if they appear visually identical. As a result, the player experience would become fragmented.
For this reason, the avatar standard is unified into a single shared structure, allowing the same character (the Shared Avatar) to exist consistently across all games.
In this way, multiple games are connected through the Shared Avatar. As a result, each game remains an independent work while also existing as one of the worlds that make up the Nekowemon Universe.
What Do Developers Do Within the Ecosystem (Nekowemon Avatar Ecosystem)?
Each developer creates and operates an independent game. The world setting and gameplay can be freely designed by each developer.
By supporting the Shared Avatar, a game functions as part of the ecosystem (Nekowemon Avatar Ecosystem).
Because players continue to use the same avatar,
・Players who are playing other games
・Can keep using the same avatar
・And move into another game
This creates an environment where players naturally move between games while maintaining the same character identity.
What is important for developers is:
・Not competing with other developers
・But expanding the number of worlds within the same ecosystem
Furthermore, each game is not only an independent work, but is also positioned as part of the content that makes up the Nekowemon IP.
In other words, developers do not simply create games.
They become creators who add new parallel worlds to the Nekowemon Universe.
Revenue Structure
Shared Avatars can be purchased in any participating game.
Each developer can sell Shared Avatars within their own game, and revenue generated from those sales belongs to that developer.
In addition to avatar sales, developers primarily generate revenue through the sale of:
・Weapons
・Accessories
・Effects
and other in-game items.
Shared Avatars serve as the entry point for players to participate in games, while the primary source of revenue comes from in-game purchases within each game.
In addition, although Shared Avatars can be used across all games, items and effects are designed separately for each game, resulting in different abilities and specifications.
As a result, players can enjoy different gameplay experiences in each game while continuing to use the same avatar.
Position of the Ecosystem
From an economic perspective, each game is positioned as one of the games that make up the ecosystem.
While each game generates its own independent revenue, it also forms part of the ecosystem as a whole.
From a world-building perspective, each game exists as one of the parallel worlds that make up the Nekowemon Universe.
Because players move between these worlds using the same avatar, the experience feels less like moving to a different game and more like traveling to a different world.
As a result, each game functions not only as an independent work, but also as part of the Nekowemon IP and as one of the worlds within the Nekowemon Universe.
Relationship with the Nekowemon Universe
The Nekowemon Universe is a shared world-building concept in which multiple creators and companies can create their own unique worlds.
The Nekowemon Avatar Ecosystem is a system that connects those worlds on Roblox through Shared Avatars.
By moving between multiple games through the Shared Avatar, players can experience the various worlds that make up the Nekowemon Universe.
Final Thoughts
This vision aims to allow multiple developers to create their own games and worlds, connect them through Shared Avatars, and enable players to experience multiple games as part of the Nekowemon Universe.
This idea is shared with the concept of “100 Creator 100 World,” which serves as the foundation of the Nekowemon IP UGC creator community.
“100 Creator 100 World” is the idea that each creator can build their own unique world while participating in the Nekowemon Universe through a shared character structure.
Whether creators are individuals or companies, the goal is for them to expand the Nekowemon Universe together while creating worlds of their own.
