Basic Flow for Project Implementation
STEP 0: Obtain a Basic License
This is the initial agreement required to use the Character License Service.
Under this agreement, you may prepare project proposals using the characters, create designs (rough designs and 3D models), and share content on social media and websites.
Basic License
Agreement Term: 1 year (automatically renewed)
STEP 1: Prepare a Project Proposal (Finalize the Deliverables and Characters)
Prepare a Project Proposal (Overview and Deliverable Information) that explains the overall project.
At the same time, finalize the characters to be used and the structure of the deliverables.
Deliverables must be separated and organized according to their role (intended use).
For example, the product itself and its packaging have different intended uses and must therefore be treated as two separate deliverables.
Items to Determine at This Stage
・Type of project (product, game, event, etc.)
・Characters to be used (number and type)
・Structure of the deliverables (e.g., product body, packaging, promotional materials)
➡ The number of deliverables is finalized at this stage.
STEP 2: Application (Project Registration)
Submit the information prepared in STEP 1 as a project application.
Organize the information by deliverable and submit the required materials.
Required Submission Materials
・Project Proposal (Overview)
・Information for each deliverable
・Reference Numbers (e.g., 1234-1, 1234-2)
・Design Materials (rough images, 3D models, final design concepts, etc.)
➡ Reference Numbers are managed using a “Project Number + Deliverable Number” format.
When to Submit an Application
Submit the application once the project can be clearly explained using rough designs, 3D models, or similar materials.
Applications cannot be submitted at the idea stage.
STEP 3: Review (Official Content Review and Approval)
Based on the submitted application, the official team (Licensor) reviews the Project Proposal and the details of each deliverable.
If there are no issues, the project is approved and may begin after approval.
Items Reviewed
1.Project Details (what will be produced and how it will be used or distributed)
2.Character Representation (whether the characters are accurately reproduced)
3.Presentation of the Deliverables (whether the placement, composition, and use are appropriate)
4.Brand Consistency (whether the overall project is consistent with the brand)
➡ Character Representation = the accuracy of the characters themselves
➡ Presentation of the Deliverables = how the characters are used and positioned
➡ The approved content becomes the standard for production.
➡ If the content is changed, another review is required.
STEP 4: Prototype Production (If Necessary)
Based on the approved content, create samples or prototypes.
This step is used to identify any issues before completion.
・Product: Sample Production
・Game: Prototype (functionality and model checks)
・Event: Layout and preliminary design review
➡ For small-scale productions or events, this step may be omitted or carried out in parallel with other steps.
STEP 5: Final Review
A final review is conducted before completion.
If there are no issues at this stage, production and release may proceed.
Items Reviewed
・Design
・Quality
・Final check of character representation and presentation
➡ It is important to conduct the review while the deliverables can still be revised.
STEP 6: Obtain a Project License
After approval and the final review have been completed, obtain a Project License to proceed with full production or release.
➡ A Project License must be obtained for each deliverable.
STEP 7: Production (Finalization)
Complete production so that the deliverables are ready for release or sale.
Product: Full Production / Mass Production
Game: Implementation and Build (ready for release)
Event: Production of physical materials and setup preparation
STEP 8: Release and Sale
Proceed with product sales, game releases, or event implementation.
STEP 9: Operation and Monetization (If Applicable)
If you intend to monetize content or use advertising after release, obtain the applicable Extended License.
If You Monetize Content
If you monetize content through a platform or app store, such as YouTube advertising revenue, Roblox in-experience purchases, or in-app purchases, a Content Monetization License is required.
If You Use Advertising
If you distribute advertisements through social media advertising, web advertising, or similar channels, an Advertising Promotion License is required.
